Coastline Housing Ltd triumphs at Cornwall Sustainability Awards

Cornwall Sustainability Awards (CSA) aims to encourage, reward and gain recognition for the excellent work businesses are doing to improve their own sustainability and that of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as a whole. It was held at The Headland Hotel on 1st December 2017. The event was attended by like-minded Cornish companies and communities who live by and promote a sustainability ethos.

This year, Cornwall New Energy sponsored the category ‘Best Contribution Towards the Creation of a Sustainable Energy Economy’.

Coastline Housing, along with Cornish manufacturer Kensa Heat Pumps, won the award for ‘Best Contribution Towards the Creation of a Sustainable Energy Economy’ and ‘Overall Winner’ for their combined work to reduce energy bills for social housing tenants.

Ralph Retallack, Energy Efficiency Project Manager at Coastline Housing, won the award for ‘Best Individual Contribution’ for his determination to develop sustainable initiatives for both Coastline Housing Ltd and their tenants.

Cornwall New Energy has worked with Coastline Housing this year to help identify ways to improve the sustainability of their business, including solar car ports, electric vehicles and LED lighting.
