Cornwall New Energy sponsors Cornwall Energy Island 2017
Cornwall New Energy sponsors and presents at Cornwall Energy Island 2017
On 3rd July 2017 Cornwall New Energy sponsored the Cornwall Energy Island 2017 conference. The Energy Island concept is a self-funded partnership between BuroHappold Engineering and Eden Project, in close partnership with Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), Cornwall Council and others.
The event followed on from a similar conference back in 2015 which helped define the key actions required to deliver a Cornish Energy System that could lead to more jobs, higher wages, better health, more educational opportunities and a lighter carbon footprint for the region. Stakeholders who have been leading on energy innovation projects since 2015 attended the conference to share their learning so far, reflect on progress towards implementing an Energy Island, and identify what needs to change both locally and nationally to achieve more progress.
A member of our team presented on the work we are doing to support local SMEs in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to reduce energy consumption, generate energy and to develop and deliver energy-related products, services and solutions.
